Tax-Wise Giving: Donating Stock
- Making a charitable gift of stock may yield double tax benefits and additional savings for appreciated stock than cash.
- A donation of stock to San Diego Partners for Economic Prosperity (501c3) may eliminate the capital gains tax that would be due upon selling the stock. You would be receiving tax savings and supporting economic development in our local community!
- You can send stock via registered mail. Certificates already registered in the name of San Diego Partners for Economic Prosperity do not require the stock waiver or Stock Power Form for the execution of the transfer.
- You will need to include an unendorsed certificate with a Stock Power Form by registered mail to:
